Dontes friend dies so he puts himself in the coffin with the man thinking he is going to get barried and than he can dig himself out, but he gets thrown in water and swims him self to freedom. He finds the treasure in Monte cristo and feels as if it was a gift to god. He than starts rewarding and punishing the people from the past. He goes back with the nickname the count of monte cristo. He punishes the three people, mondego, villefort, and the danglers. After he punishes all of these people he decides that he should do one more kind of act. He saves the son of the captian of the ships finance. Meanwhile after that he falls in love with the gorgeous Haydee and becomes sane once again.
I thought this was a very good book. I thought it kept you on your toes and was intense. It wasnt a boring book like you tend to have to read in school. I thought the author did a great job ending the book, I wouldnt have changed one thing about it. I also think yes it would make a great suspenseful movie. I think it would get a lot of great reveiws. I would for sure reccomend this book to all of my friends. It has a good meaning behind it and its very interesting.

edmond donte and mercedes (compare and contrast)

Donte and mercedes have a lot of similarites. They are madly in love with eachother in the first part of the book. They are both great people in the beginning. There kind and loving and honest, but they both lead themselves to betrayl. Once donte goes off to prision,mercedes falls in love with another. She still however is in love with donte. She begs him to save the life of her son, she reveals the wickedness of her husband to save dontes life and she also abandons all her wealth for donte. Donte gets out and punishes the people who made him miserable, he rewards those whi helped him. Donte doesnt become sane again until he meets a girl and falls in love once again.

predictions

I think that donte and his fiance will run off together. He got arrested but he could easily escape the police and find mercedes. I think hes going to go after the boys that wrote the letter and framed him to begin with. I dont know wether he will make it all the way to prision or not. He could but than if he did i dont know what would happen in the book next. Maybe if he does go to prision mercedes will fall in love with his friend and it will destroy donte.

summary of what i have read and what i think is goin to happen next?

The captain of the ship died, so donte took over for the rest of the trip. When they got back they told morel about how well donte did. He is so impressed that he gives the captain position to donte. He than goes and sees his poor dad and tells him the good news. He gave him a pile of gold and told him to buy whatever he desires.Donte gets engaged and his fiance tells them that if he dies she will commit suicide. His friends become jealous and come up with a sceme to frame donte of treason. On his wedding day he is arrested for the crimes.
I think that he is going to get away and everything will be a mess for a while, but things will get better. Than i think donte will go after his old friends and ounish them for what they did to him.

setting, conflict

The setting in the book is about a nineteen year old boy that feels like he has the world in his hands. He's engaged and is about to become a captian of the ship. His friends become jealous and write a letter accusing him of treason. His prosecuter than sees right through the men and think its a framing until donte reveals the name to who is suppose to deliver the letter to neaoplean. He is than sent to prison where only the most dangerous prisioners go.

the main character in the count of monte cristo

Edmond Donte was a sweet man. He was very intelligent and honest. Once he was accused for a crime that he had not commited he turned into this bitter old mean man.Once he gets free he becomes wealthy. He punishes the people who put him through years of agony and he rewards the people that helped him get through it all.

Another entry and what i would like to talk about

I dont feel comfortable having someone comment on my stuff so im going to write another entry. This one is going to be on writing in a journal. A lot of people write in a journal, but why? Do people think it makes them feel better to write it down? No one reads it but you its like your talking to yourself. Is it for your children to read when they grow up so they know all your feelings and everything that ever went through their head before they died? I would say i personally wish i had the time and patience to write in one. I think its good for your kids to have something to remember you by and to read about how you thought when they were young.
